Of the many styles of photography, and photographers working in the industry, our style is midway between photo journalistic, and traditional.
This means an unobtrusive presence, a distinct lack of posing and little rearranging of anything. Clients are rarely asked to do anything, such as smile or move to a better location for pictures, consequently images are captured with minimal disturbance.
This allows the the event to proceed without worrying about turning the day into a photo shoot. This style doesn't suit everyone, however there are incredible advantages for the client. Firstly there's the cost factor, the savings are to say the least substantial!. With the photojournalist style there's minimal time involved for everyone concerned, and as time is money, you're not paying for time that isn't needed, or wanted. There's also minimal time spent post processing images, instead, your images are processed according to your requirements rather than the photographers.
The basic differences between styles are:
The traditional style will generally capture far fewer images, while attempting to create some spectacular portrait style images. Often there's considerable time spent post processing images to obtain that "perfect" image, and significant time (and costs) involved in creating albums, etc.
The photo journalistic style isn't concerned so much with spectacular portrait shots, but more the events surrounding the event itself.
Obviously we still attempt to capture the all important moments, along with any specific images that may be required, such as group shots, garter & bouquet throwing, cake cutting etc. however we avoid taking control of your day, leaving you as much time as possible to enjoy those special moments as they occur.
One of the main goals we aim for during is to capture the essence of the day, the moments that are generally not witnessed by the hosts. Couples are often so involved with requirements, they unfortunately don't get to experience the many wonders that surround them, such as a loved one becoming emotional during the ceremony, the antics of children, the ring bearer or flower girls. There's so much that occurs, but unfortunately the majority isn't seen, these split seconds in time are the missed memories we try to capture.
We generally shoot with two photographers to ensure success. After processing, you're invited to select from our range of products, be it a single CD containing images, up to massive prints or canvas art. Your images are processed in house from start to finish in our own digital lab to ensure delivery in a timely manner, but most importantly of all, our reputation for quality, and customer satisfaction.
