About Float Mounts.
Float mounts panels have become a popular product for many reasons.
What is a float mount? An image is created, printed and then mounted onto a rigid aluminium substrate panel, the panel is then over-laminated to protect the underlying image.
The whole image appears to float off the wall as there's generally no frame, resulting in a modern, clean appearance. They're also excellent value for money., and come ready to hang.
Are they superior to canvas?
In many ways yes. They never need re-stretching. Cotton based products are subject to humidity, and natural sag. The over-laminate on our float mounts provide superior impact, mildew, water and UV resistance, consequently they can be used outdoors as outdoor art. They can also be used as signage, eg. menu boards in coffee shops, even A-Frame signs.
They're perfectly suited for environments where regular cleaning may be necessary eg. bathrooms, kitchens, hair salons, restaurants etc.
Life span - Indoor use life time. Outdoors approx. 5 yrs.
